About This Cause
Established in 2009, Centre for Equity and Inclusion (CEQUIN) is an NGO that promotes gender equity and women and girls' right to lead a violence-free life, develop their capabilities, have ownership and control of resources and participate and be included in decision making. We undertake capacity building, advocacy, research and networking to accomplish our objectives. Our geographical reach at present covers Delhi, Haryana, Rajasthan and UP, with an outreach of approximately 3 lakhs till date. CEQUIN works with a holistic approach focusing on the following areas: 1. Addressing Gender Based Violence 2. Building Leadership 3. Facilitating Economic Empowerment 4. Enhancing Health and Well-Being 5. Promoting Education CEQUIN's flagship initiatives include 'Kickstart Equality'- football for girls leadership, 'Mardo Wali Baat' - men engagement in gender equity, 'Badhte Kadam' - building livelihoods for women, and 'Gender Resource Centre' - creating community spaces for women.
