About This Cause
The Donkey Sanctuary exists to protect donkeys from cruelty and neglect and to provide homes for those that are in need of protective care and those that can no longer be cared for by their owners .Over 4,200 donkeys from all parts of Ireland have been taken into The Donkey Sanctuary at Liscarrol in Mallow Co Cork. Suitable, fit donkeys may be found homes through our Foster Scheme and those needing more intensive care and ongoing veterinary treatment become permanent residence
