Mission Statement
The Westminster Society provided support to close to 1000 people with learning disabilities and or their families. Since our foundation in 1962, the Westminster Society has worked tirelessly to enable Londoners with learning disabilities to stay healthy, be safe and play a full part in society. We support people of all ages and we currently provide registered care homes and supported living flats in Westminster, Kensington and Chelsea and Camden. Our LDN Connect (Learning Disability Network) services provide a range of group activities that are both social and educational. We also provide much needed family support services including nursery, play, youth and transition services, placing a special emphasis on promoting and supporting family relationships.
About This Cause
The Westminster Society is a registered charity established in 1962 by volunteer parents of children with learning disabilities. Over the last 56 years, the Society has grown to be the largest provider of care, support, and short break services for young people and adults with learning disabilities in Westminster.
