The Brooklyn Youth Chorus offers exceptional music training and choral performances to enrich the lives of its students and community. Through music study and professional-level performances, BYC unites children of diverse backgrounds and helps them develop into confident and expressive individuals.
About This Cause
Founded in 1992, the GRAMMY® Award-winning Brooklyn Youth Chorus is dedicated to offering music training and choral performances to enrich the lives of its students and community. Through music study and professional-level performances, BYC unites children of diverse backgrounds and helps them develop into confident and expressive musicians and individuals. BYC provides a music education program of unparalleled quality to over 650 culturally, socially and economically diverse young people each year, including 550 choristers enrolled in our core program and an additional 100 served through school-based programs. Training takes place within the choral rehearsal setting, as each member studies and performs as part of an ensemble grouped by age, skill, and experience.
