Mission Statement
The Friends of the Wissahickon is a 1,600 member, non-profit organization founded in 1924 with a mission “to preserve the natural beauty and wildness of the Wissahickon Valley and stimulate public interest therein.”
About This Cause
Founded in 1924, FOW is a 1,600-member nonprofit organization that works in partnership with Philadelphia Parks and Recreation to restore historical park structures, eliminate invasive plant species, monitor watershed management issues, and restore trails throughout Wissahickon Valley Park.
