About This Cause
In 2009, New South Construction established the New South Foundation, an approved 501 (c)(3) organization. Through generous donations and employee contributions, the Foundation has been involved in and supported over 50 local charities and community service projects as well as providing annual scholarships to undergraduate college students who have a family connection to the construction industry. In 2019, the Foundation awarded four scholarships to deserving students. The New South Foundation Scholarship Program is designed to offer financial aid from the Foundation, and to establish a supportive relationship with students that will last through their college career and beyond. It is New South’s priority to make these scholarships available to families in the construction industry who take education seriously, excel academically, and participate in extracurricular activities, on and off campus. Each year, the Foundation awards up to five scholarships to deserving students who have a family member working in the construction industry. Designed to support students throughout their educational journey, the disbursement of the scholarship award is determined by the academic level of the student.
