Mission Statement
HomeownershipSF is a diverse collaborative of nonprofit housing service providers with an aim to provide low- to moderate-income households with affordable homeownership education and opportunities.
About This Cause
Since our launch in 2009, HomeownershipSF has been providing affordable homeownership opportunities and a one-stop shop of housing programs through the San Francisco Mayor's Office of Housing and Community Development. We are a collaborative of housing counseling agencies who provide education, counseling, and advocacy to help low- to moderate-income households sustain and achieve the dream of homeownership in one of the most expensive housing markets in the nation. Our scope of services include, the coordination of homeownership pre-purchase, post-purchase, and foreclosure counseling and prevention. We also operate the San Francisco Housing EXPO and Resource Fair. One of our key strategies is to advocate for fair housing policies with a diverse group of stakeholders, including City officials, housing developers, housing counselors, legal services, and advocates throughout the City.
