Mission Statement
Amandla is redefining education holistically so that when we say "education" it means we're supporting the whole child in and out of school for their cradle-to-career success.
About This Cause
Based in Philippi township just outside Cape Town, South Africa, Amandla has created a community-wide network of 24 schools, 5 government departments, over 50 other non-profits, and various youth and community organisations. Our network works together to diagnose what's going wrong on the cradle-to-career pathway and then create holistic, sustainable solutions that remove barriers on the learner's journey. Our projects range from improving early childhood literacy to HIV-prevention to eradicating the scourge of gender-based violence.
