Bridge Communities transforms the lives of homeless families by providing housing, mentoring, employment readiness, and education opportunities, with the goal of becoming self-sufficient.
About This Cause
Bridge Communities provides transitional housing and mentoring to homeless families that live or work near DuPage County, Illinois. The goal for each family is to achieve financial independence. Bridge programs and mentors focus on improving the families’ education and earning potential, reducing debt, and teaching financial management and life-skills; all while healing from the traumas of abuse and homelessness. The COVID-19 pandemic has been earth-shattering for many Bridge families. Like all of us, Bridge families are feeling the weight of the stress and uncertainty caused by the pandemic. But you can ease a homeless family's burden when you make a gift to Bridge Communities. Bridge Communities is committed to providing the best care for families in our program, throughout the pandemic and in all the days to come. This means remote parenting classes and employment workshops, mobile food pantry services, virtual intake services and mentor meetings. Together, we will provide not only safe housing, but all the critical services needed for homeless families to not just survive, but thrive.
