Mission Statement
The mission of Arizona Border Collie Rescue (AZBCR) is to promote humane treatment through rescue, rehabilitation, education and the re-homing of neglected, abandoned and unwanted Border Collies.
About This Cause
AZBCR takes in border collies in need of re-homing from shelters, strays and private homes in the southwest United States. We manage a large volunteer group who provide foster care in their own homes, transport, and screen potential adoptive homes for the dogs in our care. We address any medical needs of our rescued dogs and provide permanent ID (microchip), an ID tag, new collar and leash for every dog when adopted. All dogs in our care are vaccinated and altered prior to final adoption. AZBCR rescues over 300 dogs per year and has been a 501c3 non-profit, tax exempt organization operating in the State of Arizona since 2002.
