Mission Great River Educational Arts Theatre (GREAT) brings the community together through shared theater experiences. Vision We strive to ensure everyone in central Minnesota will have access to the transformative power of the arts.

GREAT World Headquarters: is a first of its kind in the state, volunteer and education center that includes rehearsal halls, scene shop, costume shop, administrative office, and (coming soon!) a learning lab. All the behind the scenes magic happens under one roof with by a team of professional staff and hundreds of dedicated volunteers! 710 Sundial Drive, Waite Park, MN 56387 // (320) 258-2787 // info@greattheatre.org The community is our stage While all the behind the scenes magic happens at GREAT World Headquarters, GREAT is proud to collaborate with and perform at the Paramount Theatre, Stephen B Humphrey Theater on the campus of Saint John's University, 912 Regency Plaza, and a variety of other establishments throughout our community for student residencies, summer camps, and our new Script in Hand Series we are introducing in the 16-17 season! Just The Facts The Great River Educational Arts Theatre, a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization, was founded in 1998 and is currently the only theater dedicated to children and their families in central Minnesota. GREAT has produced 120 shows including five World Premiere productions during our 16 year history. Last year, 18,054 students from all over central Minnesota attended one of the GREAT specially-priced school matinee performances. GREAT placed third, two festivals running in the Minnesota Association of Community Theatre's Play Festival and has won numerous awards for directing, acting, and musical talent. GREAT is a community theatre providing 1,400+ youth and adults with the opportunity to perform through productions and theatre classes each year. GREAT is a proud member of United Arts of Central Minnesota, which provides general operating support to six central Minnesota arts organizations.
