Mission Statement

NAMI Greater Mississippi Valley is a 40+ year old affiliate of the National Alliance on Mental Illness. The organization offers no-cost education and support programs to individuals living with a serious mental health condition, and their families. These nationally-developed programs fill an information gap for families, teaching participants how to effectively support and advocate for their loved one. NAMI programs complement the work of health care and social work providers. This affiliate serves eastern Iowa and western Illinois.

About This Cause

NAMI is the nation's largest grassroots organization dedicated to improving the lives of individuals living with a mental health condition, and their families. NAMI provides no counseling or case management. The organization is dedicated to education, advocacy, and support.
