New England Amateur Radio Incorporated’s purpose is to promote education and growth of amateur radio as a STEM activity (science, technology, engineering, and math), as a communications hobby, and as support for emergency preparedness and public service.
About This Cause
New England Amateur Radio Inc. (NEAR) is a non-profit corporation operated exclusively for educational and charitable purposes within the meaning of Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. New England Amateur Radio Incorporated’s purpose is to promote education and growth of amateur radio as a STEM activity (science, technology, engineering, and math), as a communications hobby, and as support for emergency preparedness and public service. NEAR provides a multitude of services to the amateur radio and educational community including license exams, courses, and technical support. To maximize its impact on current efforts, NEAR seeks to collaborate with other non-profit organizations which are under the 501(c)(3) section of the internal revenue code and are operated exclusively for educational and charitable purposes.
