Mission Statement
Our Mission: Robyne’s Nest provides at-risk and homeless students, who have little to no parental support, with the resources to complete high school and pursue a life of self-sufficiency.
About This Cause
Who Are Our Students: Referred to us by the Huntington Beach and Newport Mesa school districts, our students come to us searching for a sense of belonging, safety, routine, and the basic needs like meals and hygiene that many take for granted. Our students want a better life and are committed to staying alcohol and drug-free. Our Purpose: Without the support of their families, these students face significant barriers in meeting their emotional and physical needs. Our proactive approach aims to keep them in school, helping to prevent a future entangled in drugs, crime, homelessness, human trafficking, or early parenthood. Join Our Mission: As a community, we have both the opportunity and the responsibility to care for these vulnerable students. Together, we can help rewrite their stories, giving them stability and hope and guide them toward a brighter future. Robyne’s Nest is a long-term support program for these students, who have slipped through the cracks and been overlooked. In a sense, they escaped the foster system so they don’t qualify for those ‘supports’. They are considered adults because they are 18. However, these students are far from being a productive, stable adult. We have students that we have been working with for 4 years. Why so long you wonder? It takes time to break down the barriers and for students to be ready to tackle the abuse and trauma they likely endured in their childhoods at the hands of their parents/guardians. This type of help is not something that can realistically be done in 30, 60, 90 days or even a year. Robyne's Nest does not rush anything and strive to make every program, interaction, and decision for the betterment of our students. We hope that you will strongly consider Robyne’s Nest as your charity of choice for this year. Robyne's Nest relies on individual donations, service organizations and small grants. Being the only non-profit in this area that serves students with these quality services, we work hard to make sure that Robyne’s Nest is sustainable in all areas. Robyne’s Nest is about quality, not quantity.
