Mission Statement

Comfort Zone Camp is a nonprofit 501(c)3 bereavement camp that transforms the lives of children who have experienced the death of a parent, sibling, or primary caregiver. The free programs include confidence building activities and age-based support groups that break the emotional isolation grief often brings. Comfort Zone Camps are offered to children 7-17, and are held year-round across the Country.

About This Cause

Comfort Zone Camp, founded in 1998, is a nonprofit bereavement organization that transforms the lives of youth and families who have experienced the death of a parent, sibling, or primary caregiver. For over 25 years, Comfort Zone has worked to fill the gap in childhood bereavement care, always free of charge to the families who need our support. The mission of Comfort Zone is to empower children experiencing grief to fully realize their capacity to heal, grow, and lead more fulling lives. Our vision is a society that actively engages in meeting the ongoing and complex needs of grieving children. We offer traditional camps, grief specific camps and programs, partnership programs, virtual programs, and parent/caregiver programs.
