Mission Statement
The mission of the Boys & Girls Clubs of York County (BGCYC) is to inspire and enable young people to realize their full potential as productive, responsible, and caring citizens. Our vision is to provide a world-class Club Experience that assures success is within reach of every young person who enters our doors, with all members on track to graduate from high school with a plan for the future, demonstrating good character and citizenship, and living a healthy lifestyle.
About This Cause
Children need to grow up with the opportunity to make a successful life for themselves and the ability to be a positive contributor to their world. To do this requires being educated, being healthy, and understanding how to interact whit those around them as both an informed follower and a capable leader. Strategically following our youth development model, the Boys & Girls Clubs of York County provides academic enhancement, instruction in making healthy lifestyle choices, and in developing good character and good citizenship. Members are given the opportunity to have a positive sense of belonging, usefulness, influence, and competence.
