Mission Statement
Founded in 1983, the American SIDS Institute, a national nonprofit organization, is dedicated to the prevention of sudden infant death and the promotion of infant health through an aggressive, comprehensive nationwide program of research, education and family support.
About This Cause
Many infants die each year while sleeping. We believe that some infants have an underlying medical disorder that makes them at greater risk for such deaths. Our research will hopefully discover what these medical vulnerabilities are, how to identify them and how to prevent sudden infant deaths.
