Mission Statement

Animal Allies of Texas works with city shelters and individuals in placing homeless dogs and cats in new permanent homes. AAT provides medical care, food, temporary foster homes, and in some cases, training, in order to make pets adoptable.

About This Cause

Animal Allies of Texas is a 501c3 non-profit animal rescue organization. AAT is comprised of 100% volunteers and uses all funds received for care of the 100+ foster pets we have in our organization at any given time. Animal Allies does not have a shelter, but consists of foster homes. All animals receive medical treatment, good food, and training while waiting for a permanent loving home. AAT works with city shelters, takes in abandoned animals, and works with battered women's shelters to house pets while the owner finds safe refuge. We also provide low cost vaccination clinics in low income areas and in some city shelters. AAT provides educational materials at our clinics in order to teach people proper pet ownership and how to have healthy pets. Animal Allies of Texas strongly supports spay and neuter and have provided grant monies in the past for free spay/neuter for low income. Animal Allies of Texas also provides free educational programs for local Girl and Boy Scout programs and public school programs. Our current community project is working with a small rural community in East Texas to spay, neuter, vaccinate, and microchip all pets in a community where some of the residents do not even have electricity and/or running water.
