Mission Statement
We are committed to enhancing the quality of life by renewing the mind, body and soul of people battling cancer and other life altering illnesses and events. This includes men, women, boys and girls regardless of race, color or creed. This is done through inspiration, education and motivation with educational programs and awareness events.
About This Cause
We offer free makeovers to those suffering from the aftermath of cancer, domestic violence, low self-esteem (leading to suicidal thoughts), strokes, heart attacks and many other traumatic experiences. Our focus is to provide cost-effective, quality treatment and assist individuals whose challenging battle with life has made it difficult or impossible for them to thrive and live a happy, healthy life. We develop individualized makeover sessions to assist each person in acquiring and maintaining physical health, mental health and enhancing the quality of life. The staff is trained to appropriately implement the program designed to make the candidates feel good inside and out by renewing the mind, body and soul. We partner with those who wish to donate time and services to make each experience like no other. We provide makeovers that could include, but are not limited to: hair, makeup, clothing, spiritual and mental motivation. Our goal is to leave a lasting impression which subsequently empowers and enriches the lives of individuals served. To qualify for a makeover, individuals must visit the website and submit an applicant form, telling their story. Others can also visit the website and complete the form for those they feel are deserving candidates. Our advisory board will review all applications, determine if suitable for a Wear It Well experience, communicate with the applicant to determine a time and date for the makeover, collaborate with sponsors and partners who offer needed services, develop a customized makeover, and execute the plan. In addition to makeovers, we do community service events: clean homes/yards and handicap accessorize them for less fortunate individuals, food drives, donate clothing to those in need or whose homes have burned, campaign at local schools teaching on self esteem, anti-bullying, suicide awareness and other issues and awareness. We also provide educational programs for children and adults to bring light to workforce readiness, teach life skills, personal hygiene, diversity and inclusion. We also house a clothes closet called the Repeat Boutique in which we accept donations of new and slightly used clothing, shoes and accessories for men, women and children in need to get what they need from us free of charge.
