Mission Statement
Our mission at Team Survivor Northwest is to provide a broad range of fitness and health education programs to enable women cancer survivors, in any stage of treatment or recovery and at any fitness level, to take an active role in their ongoing physical and emotional healing.
About This Cause
Team Survivor envisions a world in which every woman who has had a cancer diagnosis has the resources and support to return to her best physical and emotional well-being. We work towards that vision by offering free fitness programs to women cancer survivors. Studies show that exercise during and after a cancer diagnosis not only helps women feel better and happier, but also decreases treatment side effects, reduces cancer recurrence and drastically reduces death rates. Beyond that, working hard together with people who get it creates a feeling of community and empowerment. At least once a week, we hear from our members lines like "Team Survivor brought me back to life!" Thanks for helping us make our programs available to more women!
