Project Details
Many students in the Portland metro area come home hungry. BGCP has a healthy lifestyles initiative that focuses on the whole health of our children. We offer Kid's Cafe at our Clubs, serving over 176,000 meals annually to under-served youth in communities with the greatest need. We encourage healthy habits with nutrition, cooking classes and physical activity. We also have Youth & Family Services that provides counseling and guidance to over 8,000 Club members and their families. With Health fairs, prevention groups, leadership leagues and Triple Play a program promoting increased physical activity and the power of play for mind, body and soul.
