Mission Statement
GIVING A HAND, A VOICE AND A HOME to low-income seniors, families and formerly homeless adults in San Francisco. Chinatown CDC provides affordable housing and vital support services that residents need to thrive and live with dignity and as independently as possible. We have 34 properties in San Francisco neighborhoods, providing affordable housing to over 4,500 residents.
About This Cause
Founded in 1977, Chinatown Community Development Center's mission is to build community and enhance the quality of life for low-income residents in San Francisco through the development of affordable housing, grassroots leadership, civic engagement and youth empowerment. The vision of Chinatown CDC is to build a healthy, vibrant, and inclusive community for all residents through leadership training and promoting positive political, economic and environmental change. Chinatown CDC is a place-based organization that serves each individual with compassion and fairness. We build a powerful coalition of advocates and supporters who contribute their own voices in the community. We strengthen community through mutual respect and partnerships by fostering healthy and inclusive spaces for open dialogue.
