On Friday, October 27 from 10:00am to 2:00pm, the APDA-Greater St. Louis Chapter will present a Midwest Parkinson Congress. Participants will choose from three educational tracks: Treatment for Advancing Parkinson Disease, Movement as Medicine, and Care Partner resources. The APDA- Greater St. Louis Chapter is the only organization providing programs and services to people with Parkinson's in our area. The Midwest Parkinson Congress provides a platform for us to help disseminate information about Parkinson’s, including both research and tips on living well with PD, so that we can help everyone impacted by this disease live life to the fullest.Available Shifts

As a 501c3 not-for-profit organization, Kin On’s mission is to support the elderly and adults in the greater Seattle Asian community by offering a comprehensive range of health, social and educational services sensitive to their cultural, linguistic and dietary needs.Kin On Health Care Center is one service area of Kin On, that provides 24-hour skilled nursing for long-term care and short-term rehabilitative care residents.
Residents of the Kin On skilled nursing facility can greatly benefit from interaction with community members and often look forward to seeing new faces. As a volunteer with Resident Activities, you may help assist in arts & crafts, resident outings, and more.
This volunteer opportunity requires a minimum of 3 months commitment, the majority of volunteer opportunities take place between Monday-Friday.

Though traditionally a Chinese cultural game, Mahjong has long been enjoyed by many. Kin On’s Mahjong Nights take place every other month, and we invite individuals of all backgrounds, ages, and skill levels to join. Each of our popular events bring together Kin On’s residents, community members and young professionals in a unique setting with free food, raffles, post-event networking opportunities, and more! As a volunteer, you may help with check-in, teach Mahjong to residents/community members, or simply play Mahjong with the residents/attendees.Events take place 5-6 times a year. Help At Your Door, a nonprofit serving seniors, is in need of volunteer drivers throughout the Twin Cities. Learn how you can help provide the keys to independence by transporting seniors to appointments or errands using your car. Most drivers give just a couple of rides each month, weekday mornings or afternoons only, in a geographic area of their choosing.
We offer flexible scheduling, social interaction with a welcoming volunteer community, and most of all, hands-on activities that help the aging population and individuals with disabilities maintain their independence and continue living in their homes.

Can you set aside two hours once a month to give a senior a helping hand in their home?Help At Your Door, a nonprofit serving seniors, is in need of volunteers to assist with home support. Tasks can vary; some examples include: washing windows, organization, vacuuming, hanging pictures, and other home maintenance tasks.
We offer flexible scheduling, social interaction with a welcoming volunteer community, and most of all, hands-on activities that help the aging population and individuals with disabilities maintain their independence and continue living in their homes. Volunteers must be at least 18 years of age or accompanied by a parent or guardian (who is also a volunteer). Weekday OR weekend options are available.

The four ministries that make up the Grace Care Center include the Choice Food Pantry, ESL, Vehicle Ministry and Referral Services. Each week, 250 volunteers faithfully serve more than 400 families in these ministry areas. Serving opportunities include:Choice Food Pantry: Greeter, Personal Shopper, Register Worker, Stockers, Sorters & Others
