Each year, the Celebration Foundation hosts a gala fundraiser. The annual Gala features live entertainment, an auction, food and drinks, and an opportunity for all who support the Celebration Foundation to gather and raise money for a good cause. Volunteers are needed to help set up/decorate the location of the Gala, as well as to help during the event with greeting attendees, manning the auction tables, and handing out information.

All proceeds from this event go to support our programs. The Celebration Foundation is a 501c3 nonprofit whose mission is to work hand-in-hand with our neighbors to build a strong and caring central Florida community. Programs include: Thriving In Place, Women's Initiative Nurturing Girls' Strength (WINGS), Lifelong Learning, Learning Without Hunger, Concert Series, New Urbanism, Campus Express, and scholarships for students. Thriving In Place provides Celebration residents age 55 and above with services and activities that allow them to remain in their homes for as long as possible. We educate young girls in elementary through high school about obtaining leadership positions and provide them with positive female role models through our WINGS program. Lifelong Learning provides continuing education courses for adults during each Spring and Fall. During the school year, we provide weekend food to hungry students in Osceola County through our Learning Without Hunger program. Each Winter, our Concert Series brings in musical talent through a variety of genres to encourage all ages to appreciate the arts. New Urbanism promotes the unique architectural principles that Celebration was founded upon, along with preserving Celebration's history. Campus Express takes high school students on trips to local colleges and technical schools so they can learn about their opportunities after they graduate. This year, we are offering a new scholarship opportunity called Stair Step to Nursing to Celebration High School students.

Share HOPE with thousands of mini-Hope Heroes recently impacted by Hurricane Florence! The Happy Hope Factory is teaming up with United Way-North Carolina to deliver special Happy Hope Bags to children in the coastal Carolina communities affected by the recent storm. Teams are needed over the next four weeks to assemble, pack and ship up to 5,000 Happy Hope Bags. Hope Boxes contain all components required to assemble 24 Happy Hope Bags, and a prepaid UPS label will be included to ship completed boxes directly to the United Way’s distribution center. All boxes must be completed by October 19th. We can all be Hope Heroes, thank you for packaging happiness and smiles for children in need of a boost of hope!

Opportunity Details

This will be a great project and will be stuffing papers and/or small objects into bags for event attendees. These items come from sponsors that help support our event and are wonderful resources for families that need them. At our actual event on 3/3/19 where these bags will be handed out, it is the largest autism resource fair in Minnesota. Many great resources are available to families of those with children or adult family members with autism. This event is a celebration of those individuals on the spectrum.
