Opportunity Details

Carlos Gilbert Elementary School’s Halloween Carnival (a Santa Fe tradition for nearly 70 years) will take place on Saturday, October 27th, 2018 from 12-5pm. The Carnival is our major school fundraiser, and we are expecting an attendance of 800+ people from the Santa Fe community. Our parents, teachers, and kids are working hard to make this year’s Carnival a huge success, but we cannot do it without the help and generosity of our local businesses. With your help, we hope to raise $45,000 this year to support the educational growth and development of our students.

At Carlos Gilbert Elementary, every student in every grade benefits from one of our PTK-sponsored enrichment programs. These programs are NOT paid for by the school district and provide many of our students with unique opportunities that otherwise would not be available to them:


Kinder: Yoga
1st grade: Jazz dance
2nd grade: Theater
3rd grade: Trout in the Classroom
4th grade: National Dance Institute
5th grade: Wise Fool
6th grade: Cooking with Kids at the Santa Fe School of Cooking


The Carlos Gilbert PTK also supplements teacher stipends, funds after-school clubs and educational field trips, and provides our students with additional learning resources, such as an outdoor garden.

Carlos Gilbert Elementary School has served over three generations of Santa Fe families. We hope you will consider volunteering at our annual Halloween Carnival to ensure the continued success of our beloved public elementary school for many more years to come.
