Opportunity Details

The Innkeepers group prepares and serves a free meal for the Defiance Community one Wednesday evening per month. This is important for aiding those who have food insecurities.
On the same Wednesday, the Pantry distributes to any households in need, items that are needed but cannot be purchased with the SNAP card or WIC program. We do not have food, but personal hygiene items, basic cleaning supplies, feminine hygiene products, paper products and disposable diapers. The goal is to fill this need, and not duplicate services already being provided by food pantries in the area.
Help is needed with packing bags and handing them out, serving and cleaning up from the meal and with monetary and in-kind donations for the pantry. Our guests are sooo appreciative!

Opportunity Details

Volunteers are needed for the annual LUNG FORCE Walk in Detroit. The LUNG FORCE Walk promotes fun, fitness and our mission to save lives by improving lung health and preventing lung disease through education, advocacy and research.

Duties may include cheering for participants, setting up signs, directing people to the parking lot, checking in participants, overseeing the food or water stations, assisting with set-up and tear down, and much more! You will receive an e-mail with more details as we get closer to the walk.
