The Out of the Darkness Walks are proof that when people work together they can make big changes in the world.
We have volunteer opportunities including helping with event activities, registration, setup/breakdown and general event support.
The Out of the Darkness Walks are AFSP’s largest fundraiser – they produce millions for suicide prevention programs, unite those who have been affected by suicide, and create communities that are smart about mental health.

Opportunity Details

If you are passionate about sending kids with disabilities to summer camp, and have a few days to spare throughout the year, then join the Volunteer Team at Friends of We Care! We hold various fundraising events all year round, including golf tournaments, bowling challenges, softball games, a winter festival, and our annual awards gala in May. Duties would include event set up and tear down, stuffing goodie bags, selling tickets, registration and prizing, golf hole monitor, and more. We are always looking for new enthusiastic volunteers, and shifts can be broken up into morning, afternoon and evening times. If you're interested, contact us right away!

We are looking for outgoing people to join our promotional team for the Loving Linda comedy gala! As a part of the promotions team, you will hand out flyers and engage with potential guests to the comedy gala in the Cambridge Theatre at the West End. There’s no experience necessary, but we’ll looking for enthusiastic and confident volunteers who are available to give time in the evenings outside the venue to help make the evening a success!
