The Muscular Dystrophy Association's Muscle Walk of Dallas is happening on 11/6/21 at Doubletree Ranch Park in Highland Village, TX from 9:30 AM – 11:30 AM and we would love to have your support as volunteers!

Volunteers are essential to MDA’s mission of transforming the lives of people living with muscular dystrophy, ALS, and related neuromuscular diseases. We are excited to host the Muscle Walk of Dallas Celebration to bring our MDA community together to raise funds to further our mission. We are looking for a group of committed volunteers to assist MDA Staff with day of event logistics via 2 shifts.

Shift 1 (8:00 AM – 10:30 AM)
Tasks: Unloading the rental van, walk route and event space set up, inflatable arch set up, registration set up and implementation, greeting attendees, photography, hosting the Camper art station and more.

Shift 2 (10:30 AM – 1:00 PM)
Tasks: Help with breakdown of event tables, chairs & inflatable arch, clean-up of event site and walk route, packing of signage/décor into the loading van, and other tasks as needed.

NOTE: Volunteer Requirements - this opportunity will require the ability to be outdoors, engage with MDA Families, Vendors and Sponsors with a positive and professional approach. Opportunity Details

Gateway Association believes in transformation of community through the lens of disability. The different angles of community represented by those in the marketing and communications sector are pivotal to Gateway’s messaging. We are specifically looking for board members to join our values-based, 46-year-old board in the area of marketing and communications. A good match would be someone who lives equity, diversity and inclusion in their personal and professional lives. A background in mentorship, innovative thinking and board experience is necessary for a sustainable, long-term relationship with Gateway. Covid has eliminated the need for board members to be physically present at the meetings. Gateway headquarters is in Edmonton and meetings occur between 7-9 times per year.

A marketing and communications portfolio will be co-developed with the board member, along with assignation to a sub-committee (staff and volunteers) with the same portfolio. We are looking for a board member to bring in expertise, strategic support and the gift of time (2-5 hours per month).

CrowdDoing.world Podcast creation volunteer

Marketing Volunteer, CrowdDoing.world Next Generation, this title is for 15, 16, and 17 year olds. A parental waiver is required for participation. A slack channel and a google group have been established with oversight by an individual who recently completed her MBA in marketing.

CrowdDoing.world Podcast creation volunteer: Like the podcast Startup, we think that we can take clips from our internal meetings, and weave them together into coherent podcast episodes. Draft podcast clips and episodes drawn from our video library will be reviewed by our marketing team.

CrowdDoing.world is a joint initiative between Reframe It, a social enterprise, and Match4Action Foundation, a US 501c3. CrowdDoing has had more than 1000 volunteers since 2015 collaborating on systemic change research and development through a venture lab approach. Venture labs build multiple solutions at the same time to address compelling problems in the world. Our volunteers are based in twenty countries and have collectively contributed hundreds of thousands of hours of collaboration time. CrowdDoing.world has initiatives that work on public health, anti-poverty, sustainability and education through virtual collaboration.

 

CrowdDoing.world is Recruiting NextGen Volunteers for Systemic Change Team in the following areas::Graphic design, video/audio production for your organization's podcasts. The average CrowdDoing volunteer contributes six hours per week but we are flexible with any individual volunteer to contribute at their convenience based on their level of interest.

Length of collaboration: We will seek to recruit volunteers who can stay with this for at least 10 weeks. Our preference is for volunteers who have an interest in our efforts and may consider staying longer on a flexible basis.
