We’re looking for a Business Administrator to join our growing team!
What you’ll do:
- Provide administrative support to the executive team, including managing calendars, scheduling meetings, and handling correspondence
- Prepare and distribute meeting agendas, take minutes during meetings, and follow up on action items as needed
- Assist with the preparation and editing of documents, presentations, and reports
- Manage confidential information with discretion and professionalism
- Handle special projects and assignments as needed, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
-Act as a liaison between the executive team and internal and external stakeholders
What we’re looking for:
- Experience in an administrative role, preferably as an Administrative Assistant, Executive Assistant or similar position
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and other relevant software
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and maintain professionalism at all times
- Ability to be detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in all work activities
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple deadlines
- Possession of excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a professional and friendly demeanor

About this Event: The Exploring Health Equity Beyond IBD Diagnosis Lunch & Learn Series program aims to address health disparities among underserved African Americans and other marginalized populations residing in the South St. Petersburg area. The program will serve a total of100 participants, with 20 new individuals joining each Lunch & Learn series. Our program volunteer Ambassadors will take charge of recruiting and selecting participants from the specific zip codes of 33711, 33712, and 33705, ensuring a targeted outreach to local Neighborhood Associations, community health organizations and free clinics, local churches and Walmart Health Centers within the CRA. Through interactive 1 hour sessions, the program seeks to educate, empower, and promote better health outcomes for those affected by Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD). The program features a variety of sessions, each lasting approximately one hour, and covers the following topics:
Emotional Wellness & Coping with IBD: In this session, participants will learn about emotional wellness and strategies to cope with the mental health issues and psychological impact of IBD diagnosis. Saturday August 31, 2024 at 11AM-12PM.
Understanding IBD: This session focuses on building knowledge and understanding of IBD, including the signs and symptoms, risk factors, and treatment options. Saturday Saturday September 28, 2024 at 11AM-12PM.
Managing Your Diet & IBD: During this session we will discuss how taking care of your diet is essential with IBD and provide strategies for managing IBD symptoms through dietary modifications. Saturday October 26, 2024 at 11AM-12PM.
IBD Advocacy: During this session we'll cover the following topics:
How to advocate for yourself and get the help you need
Understanding health equity and why it's important
What health disparities are and how they affect people
Attendees will be provided with the IBD Patient Checklist a simplistic tool created to assist IBD Patients at their doctors appointment.

Each session will be facilitated by a community partner or healthcare professional with extensive knowledge and experience in Inflammatory Bowel Disease, Nutrition and Diet, and Health Equity.

- Supporting a west London in-school career and employability activities - Share your expertise at an employability skills workshop, careers fair, speed networking, or mock recruitment activity. (up to 2 hours)
- Hosting students on an industry insight visit - Host an industry insight visit and give young people a behind-the-scenes look at your workplace! Provide a tour, share your expertise, and offer real-world insights. (up to 4 hours)
- Hosting work experience students - If you are based in London and can host a young person for work experience for 5 days, we would be open to a conversation and will support you in developing a rewarding work experince for your company and the young people.
- Partnership employability careers programme - Develop a funded programme where we work closely with your company to inform young people about careers in your organisation, the sector and diversify your talent pool by engaging young people in workshops, insight visits and mentoring. All of which will provide a rewarding company-wide volunteering programme and the demonstration of impact in the community. (over an agreed time period based on the number of young people reach/schools the company would like to reach)

The event will take place at Eastern University - 1300 Eagle Road, St. Davids, PA 19087 - from 8:30 am - Noon.Pamoza is looking for volunteers who can help with set-up, greeting, registration, managing activity stations, clean up, and other activities,
Our 5K is a family-friendly and "edutaining"event where people will walk/run on the beautiful campus of Eastern University then afterwards, visit different stations to get a taste of Malawian culture, life, and food. All funds from the 5K go to support our programs in Malawi so families don't have to walk long distances to access their most basic needs like health care.
