Mission Statement

The EAST END CHILDREN'S CENTRE is a community based organization. Its mission is to support the development of children 0 - 6, their families and caregivers, though community and inclusive play.

About This Cause

Goals • To nurture optimal development in children, their parents and caregivers. • To promote supportive relationships and interaction between people of diverse age, ability social and cultural groups. • To raise awareness of child, family, parenting and caregiving needs. • To provide programs and services that are culturally competent, responsive to community needs and inclusive of all preschool children and their families. About East End Children's Centre Our families come from diverse language, cultural and socio-economic backgrounds. Single income parents, first-time mothers and fathers, custodial grandparents and their young children are some of the examples of the active participants in our programs. We serve many adoptive parents and increasing numbers of parents from the LGBTQ communities. We support families experiencing significant stress related to mental health or newcomer settlement issues, or neuro-developmental differences in children. Families attending our programs can also access the following supports: weekly newsletter on topics of interest to parents and families. Our programs also serve as an entry point for children needing assessment services, such as speech & language, child development or regulation.
