About This Cause
Big Brothers Big Sisters of Toronto (BBBST) is Toronto’s pre-eminent mentorship program that connects children and youth facing adversity with a caring and consistent adult mentor. At BBBST, we know that mentorship is critical in helping youth overcome the negative impact of adversities and steer towards a brighter future. Our work helps to ignite the power and potential of youth and to break the cycles of violence, drug abuse, poverty, and inequality. Our mentorship programs have a profound impact on youth, with over 90% reporting a prolonged improvement in their social and emotional skills. We are dedicated to supporting vulnerable communities and offering inclusive programming to all young people in need regardless of race, culture, religion, gender, or sexual orientation.
