About This Cause

The Community Social Planning Council (CSPC) provides reliable information and engagement processes to inform decision making across all sectors. This is done by conducting community-based research and programs such as the Rent Bank, Coordinated ID Services and Low-Income Transit. Underlying its work is a shared belief in the attainability of a healthy, sustainable, and vibrant community. That accurate and accessible information is a tool for positive change, marginalized voices need to be part of social planning and in the necessity of a broad-based process of reconciliation with Indigenous communities. Social policy development needs to acknowledge the connection between climate change, energy, and infrastructure.
