Mission Statement
EKASS is dedicated to providing free, comprehensive, evidence-based addiction treatment and support services in the East Kootenay region. Our mission is to: 1. Support individuals struggling with addiction to address the root causes and facilitate their journey toward healing and recovery 2. Offer support and resources to those affected by a loved one’s addiction 3. Ensure access to medically assisted therapy and innovative treatment options 4. Advocate for and educate the public, policymakers, and healthcare professionals on the latest research in addiction prevention and treatment 5. Collaborate with community partners to enhance the effectiveness of our services and create lasting change
About This Cause
EKASS provides FREE confidential counselling to those concerned about their own or someone else’s substance use, referral to residential treatment facilities, medically assisted therapy, community education and harm reduction supplies. Recovery from addiction can be challenging, but with courage and connection, it is possible.
