About This Cause
Since 1971, Autism Edmonton (Autism Society of Edmonton Area) has been providing services and support to the autism community. Autism Edmonton has become known as a "go-to" source that connects families, individuals and professionals with autism-related resources. Autism Edmonton also helps people develop skills and peer support through facilitated activity and discussion groups. Just last year Autism Edmonton • Helped 3,000+ people find the right supports and resources • Provided 4,149 respite hours • Engaged an estimated 5,000 people in recreational and learning activities. Autism Edmonton's success has been grounded in community partnerships and donations. As a small nonprofit, Autism Edmonton does not receive any government contracts and relies on the generous support of grants and contributions from private and corporate donors, friends and allies who sustain its work.
