United Way Guelph Wellington Dufferin strives to meet existing and emerging social needs in order to improve lives and build community.
About This Cause
United Way staff works closely with local community groups to achieve meaningful, long-term improvements to quality of life in the communities of Guelph, and Wellington and Dufferin Counties. Community Impact is not just about addressing the symptoms of problems but also getting at the root causes. A donation to United Way does both. United Way Guelph Wellington Dufferin plays a pivotal role helping kids be all they can be, moving people from poverty to possibility and creating strong communities. We champion a shared responsibility for social good, working year-round to build relationships, strengthen partnerships and enable shared solutions to social issues. Most people know how United Way allocates your funding to the community. But our role as a community mobilizer is just as important and partnered up with your donation, can ensure that your dollars get put to work in the most effective way possible and working to solve our communities most pressing issues. Together, we will continue to make our community better for everyone. Community has always been the heart and soul of what we do. That’s why United Way is taking every possible step to respond to our area’s most urgent needs and support recovery efforts, with long-term resiliency in mind. We know we can’t return to the status quo – so our approach to recovery is anything but. We are thinking and acting radically local, with the goal of solving local problems with local solutions and empowering those closest to the issues.
