About This Cause
Junior Achievement is the world’s largest organization dedicated to educating students about work readiness, entrepreneurship and financial literacy through experiential, hands-on programs. We are spread over 122 countries around the world and reach 9.7 million students per year and were nominated for a Noble Peace Prize in 2022. At JA Northern Alberta, we're striving to serve 30,000 students this year. This is made possible through our partnerships with the business community, educators and volunteers who work together to inspire young people to reach their dreams and tap into their potential. Our approach to educating allows volunteers to deliver our curriculum while sharing their own experiences and knowledge. The value is in the ‘real world’ perspective that the students get. Goals We will be recognized by our stakeholders as vital to the success of our youth in reaching their potential through partnership with business and educators in the nationwide delivery of relevant business learning experiences by inspired volunteers.
