Muskoka Family Focus and Children’s Place is dedicated to providing high quality child and family resources and educational services.
About This Cause
Muskoka Family Focus and Children’s Place (MFF) is a registered charitable organization which has served the needs of Muskoka families for over 30 years. As a leader in family programming, MFF staff serve on many District-wide planning tables and committees. MFF provides quality licensed childcare in 4 early learning centres, and licensed before and/or after school programs in 11 schools throughout Muskoka. The Board of Directors and Management Team endeavour to keep fees for licensed programs as low as possible, and help families to access community services that can provide subsidies for families in need. Parents will also have increased coping strategies and enhanced parenting skills through participation in MFF workshops for parents. Partnerships have been formed with HandsTheFamilyHelpNetwork and Children’s Mental Health agencies to enhance the workshop topics offered to families, including programs like Make the Connection and Bounce Back and Thrive. Staff are paid a living wage and MFF partners with many community agencies to offer staff training, ensuring that we can recruit and retain excellent staff who have a current understanding of the needs of children and families.
