About This Cause
Discovery Centre is Atlantic Canada’s premiere science centre dedicated to advancing science literacy and inspiring a passion for STEAM learning (science, technology, engineering, arts, math), particularly among our youth who will be our next generation of innovators, researchers, and policy makers. Through our interactive programming, curriculum-connected school workshops, free access nights, technology camps, and community outreach programs, we encourage our young people to embrace the power of curiosity, gain confidence in their abilities, and fulfill their potential. As we continue to elevate our platform, a key priority is to integrate new programming and exhibit experiences that foster critical thinking, science literacy, and a desire to better understand the world around us. Through an approach that is always engaging and fun, we connect our visitors with the science that matters today, equipping them with the knowledge to make informed decisions and active choices in their daily lives.
