About This Cause
Young United Church is a partner in Crossways in Common, serving the West Broadway neighbourhood of Winnipeg with social services, daycare, housing, educational and recreational programs. Crossways' partners include two churches: Young United and Hope Mennonite. Secular partners are: West Broadway Community Services, West Broadway Youth Outreach, Artemis Housing Cooperative, and Day Nursery Centre. Renters in Crossways include Horizons Learning Centre (adult education), Gordon Bell High School off-site classroom, the local MLA's constituency office, several twelve-step groups, and meeting room space for community organizations too numerous to count. Young United Church is an Affirming Congregation of the United Church of Canada. Our Mission Statement: To respond to God's gracious gifts by building and sustaining a dynamic, inclusive, and empowering community of faith that seeks to do justice and extend mercy and walk responsibly on the earth.
