Mission Statement
Youth Unlimited Edmonton invests in the lives of youth by providing holistic care, mentoring relationships, safe communities, and opportunities to give back. We desire to see every young person have opportunity to explore their potential, understand their worth, and discover hope. We primarily seek to fulfill our mission and vision through relationship, positive peer relationships, and intentional adult relationships. The greatest single factor in youth resiliency is the presence of one significant adult relationship. This is our path to help youth.
About This Cause
Since 1978, Youth Unlimited (YFC Edmonton) has played a vital role in transforming lives of young people in the Edmonton area. In Edmonton, we are currently operating 4 Youth Centres, that provide a safe place for youth to belong, but also provide a variety of activities for youth to engage in. We love to take the skills and passions of our staff and volunteers and align them with needs of the youth we serve in order to create unique programs that bring as many positive experiences as we can into young lives. In 2022 we had the privilege of connecting with over 970 youth in the Edmonton area, serving over 4700 meals at 260 events. Youth Unlimited (YFC Edmonton) is a charter member of Youth For Christ Canada. Youth For Christ is an international, faith-based charity active in 133 countries worldwide, reaching over 5.1 million youth annually. YFC Canada, operating as Youth Unlimited (YFC), has 31 chapters in over 200 communities with more than 700 staff and 3500 volunteers. Over the years, millions of young lives have been impacted by Youth Unlimited (YFC).
