Jeboah Miranda Foundation

Mission Statement

To offer women-identifying and non-binary youth support and encouragement from the beginning of their careers to help propel them forward into leadership positions and create a more equitable society. This Foundation also aims to make these strong and courageous women feel safe in telling and owning their stories as they pertain to mental health and by providing them with the tools they need in order to cope to avoid seeing suicide as an option.

About This Cause

Our Founder and CEO Jeboah Miranda lost her two brothers Ricardo and Isaac to suicide when she was 16 and 17 years old and fought like hell to survive it. She then graduated from high school early, pursued a university education in Psychology and Business from McGill University and the University of Ottawa and was fortunate enough to do so because of the generous scholarships she won. When she was pursing her university education full-time while working, she decided one day, she would create a Foundation to help future women to no longer have to suffer in silence about their encounters with suicide the way she had to; and in 2018, Jeboah Miranda Foundation was launched. Today, we not only run novel mental health and wellness programs for women and non-binary youth all across Canada but we also built and launched Blazer mobile application in 2021 to give youth ages 16-24 a safe place to make friends, find and connect with mentors and give and get peer-to-peer mental health support, for free. Download and sign up as a Mentor today to give these youth the opportunities that you wish you had. Available on both iOS and Android devices.
