To ignite the curiosity and imagination of people in all communities across Alberta, championing their stories and experiences through dance training, creation and performances.
About This Cause
Alberta Ballet is a non-profit Dance Company and Ballet School, connecting Albertans with the magic of dance through live performances in Edmonton and Calgary, community dance classes for all ages and professional training for young, gifted dancers. The organization works to provide equitable access to the arts for all Albertans through outreach programs like the Welcoming Newcomers Program that distributes complimentary tickets to immigrant families; Discover Dance field trips for local youth to learn about ballet; and Alberta Ballet School Scholarships for emerging artists to pursue their dreams of becoming professional dancers. Alberta Ballet is a significant member of the performing arts offerings in Alberta, providing students and audiences the opportunity to experience the benefits of dance including social connection, creative expression and physical movement.
