About CMHA Edmonton Canadian Mental Health Association – Edmonton Region (CMHA-ER) promotes the mental health of all and is committed to ensuring that all people experience good mental health and well-being. We are the leading community mental health organization in the region, delivering key services in the areas of mental health support, education and training, wayfinding, and collective action. This supports individuals, families, communities, and the social sector. We offer several programs: - Help Lines, including the Distress Line for crisis, 211 for information, and community support through Brite Line. - Family Support programs including Caregiver Connections, Suicide Bereavement and Grief Support, and 1:1 counseling. - Individual Support programs, including Prosper Place peer programming, and housing. - Training and Education, including Recovery College, Mental Health First Aid, and Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training. We Are: - 100+ employees - 200+ volunteers Our Impact Every year, we: - Answer 100,000 help line calls, online messages, and texts. - Help 2000 participants through our family and peer programs. - Support 700 learners in Recovery College, and hundreds more training attendees.
