Mission Statement

The Friends of Royal Alberta Museum Society (FRAMS) is a group of Albertans dedicated to raising friends and funds to support the Royal Alberta Museum. We ask everyone to join us in building a dynamic community supporting educational programs, internships that enable students to gain real-world museum experience, as well as activities and events that enable people to experience and enjoy the rich natural and human heritages of Alberta. Your donations to FRAMS also enable us to purchase artifacts (like the Columbian Mammoth cast) to tell the fascinating and ever-changing story of Alberta.

About This Cause

The Friends of Royal Alberta Museum Society (FRAMS) is a registered charity and not-for-profit membership organization that promotes and supports the Royal Alberta Museum, one of Canada’s leading heritage institutions and Western Canada's largest museum. Established in 1982, FRAMS is dedicated to building a dynamic community connected to the Royal Alberta Museum by coordinating projects that foster accessibility and encourage deeper engagement with the museum. Donated funds enable FRAMS to make a strong and positive difference at the RAM – funding initiatives like our Go! Program, which enables economically challenged Albertans to visit the museum free of charge, our paid summer internship for post-secondary Indigenous students, and the purchase of key artifacts to help the museum tell the amazing natural and human history stories of Alberta.
