About This Cause
Prairie Strides Inc (formerly, Manitoba Riding for the Disabled Association) is a charitable non-profit organization formed in 1977 to provide adaptive Riding programs for children living with disabilities in Winnipeg and the surrounding area. We provide Adaptive riding classes to children 5 to 15 years of age. Prairie Strides receives no government assistance. Fundraising and donations are the life line to keeping the program operational. Prairie Strides is run by a volunteer Board of Directors and one office staff. Horseback riding can help children with disabilities such as: -cerebral palsy -visual impairment -autism -other developmental challenges
