About This Cause
New Visions Cares! About what? You May Ask! Welcome to NVT! Are you looking for an organization who shares your passion and enthusiasm for better a community, society, and world? Do you want to be inspired by a team where, when you partner with, you know you’re making a difference every day? Do you want to be part of an organization that gives back to community, humanity, and whose employees embrace corporate and social responsibility? Consider New Visions Toronto (NVT) as a way you and/or your organization can expand meaningful influence and impact for better in the world. Where you’ll contribute to, be part of solutions for quality support and care - where, together, we achieve goals for inclusivity of people with complex disabilities. NVT is a remarkable non-profit organization because of its people: those that work here and those that are supported. Dedicated to providing exceptional housing, care and support to more than 50 people with complex physical and developmental disabilities, we understand the importance of a sense of belonging, quality care and support in a home-like environment. We work tirelessly alongside government ministries, community members and loved ones to achieve this goal. Our passionate, talented and dedicated team provides around-the-clock, individualized care that promotes and nurtures the growth and development of those we serve. We believe in helping people establish meaningful relationships, engage in stimulating activities and pursue meaningful work opportunities within their community. Our 2024 fundraising goal of $250,000 is dedicated to improving the lives of those living in a congregate care setting which have seen significant wear and tear over the last 30 years. We are committed to enhancing the quality of life for those living in these homes by repairing floors damaged by necessary wheelchair use, reinforcing walls, painting homes inside and out, improving laundry facilities, updating kitchens and bathrooms, and replacing two vehicles.
