Mission Statement
Ronald McDonald Houses provide families of sick children with a home to stay at while their child is being treated at a nearby hospital. As well, Ronald McDonald Family Rooms provide a comfortable place for families to rest and recharge, right inside hospitals. For over 40 years, RMHC in Canada has helped over 450,000 families stay together, close to their sick child in hospital.
About This Cause
Did you know that 65% of Canadian families live outside a city or town with a children’s hospital? So when a child gets sick, they often have to travel hours to get treatment - causing emotional and financial stress. Our 16 Ronald McDonald Houses across Canada give families a place to stay close to the hospital where their child is being treated. Our 18 Ronald McDonald Family Rooms located in hospitals across the country give families a place to rest and relax just steps from their child's bedside. Because when families can stay together during treatment, sick children get stronger. Since 1981, RMHC Canada has supported over 436,000 families.
