Mission Statement
Inspiring and supporting seniors to be the best they can be. Sage Seniors Association (Sage) is a community-based multi-service senior’s serving organization that works to address individual needs and build on the personal strengths of seniors. Through a holistic spectrum of programs, Sage provides services that promote socialization and enhance the safety and well-being of older persons who are, or who may become, isolated, disadvantaged, or at-risk in the community. Sage is guided by a vision of community where all seniors are valued and have the opportunity to live according to their beliefs, abilities and aspirations.
About This Cause
Sage Seniors Association has been providing programs and services to seniors in the greater Edmonton area for over 50 years, and has evolved and grown along with this demographic. Clients do not need to fit the needs of our organization: we adapt our programs and services to fit the needs of our clients. Our mission is inspiring and supporting seniors to be the best they can be. Through the work of staff and volunteers, and in collaboration with stakeholders, we enhance the quality of life of older persons and their families by providing: 1) Services the promote socialization, intellectual stimulation, skill and information acquisition; 2) Services that enhance the safety and well-being of older persons who are, or who may become, isolated, disadvantaged or at-risk in the community; 3) Information and services that assist older persons to participate as active members of the community and to reside safely in accommodation that meets their needs; and 4) Research and advocacy on issues affecting older persons. We are an organization that anticipates individual and social needs and trends, and a trusted leader in the senior-serving sector in Alberta.
