About This Cause

South Riverdale Child-Parent Centre, incorporated in 1978, is committed to encouraging and supporting positive parent-child relationships, providing opportunities for learning, building on family strengths and increasing family involvement in the larger community. The Centre runs a family resource program, which provides a cluster of programs designed to meet the needs of individuals caring for young children at home. These include a daily drop-in program, outings, workshops, a clothing exchange, and Parenting Book and Toy Libraries. Our community, South Riverdale, is a mixed residential, commercial and industrial community bounded by the Don River, Greenwood Avenue, Gerrard Street, and Lake Ontario. Our community is vibrant and diverse. SRCPC is a registered charity organization governed by a board of volunteers from the local community. We believe all families are entitled to support. All of our programs are free. Our space is accessible, and we welcome all children aged 0-6 years and their parents and caregivers.
