Mission Statement

The Women's Healthy Environments Network (WHEN) is a Toronto-based charitable organization that educates our communities, our politicians and the media about reducing our risk of illness and injury that arises from toxic exposures - in the food we eat, the water we drink and the air we breathe.

About This Cause

The Women's Healthy Environments Network (WHEN) is a Toronto-based charitable organization that educates our communities, our politicians and the media about reducing our risk of illness and injury that arises from toxic exposures - in the food we eat, the water we drink and the air we breathe. Since, 1994, WHEN has worked in partnership with health and environmental advocates to create stronger regulations that protect us from toxic exposures, including pesticide laws and the Community-Right-to-Know by-law at the City of Toronto level. We also share stories of the health impacts of toxic exposures and solutions and actions for prevention. We build awareness, identify solutions and capacity for taking action through our monthly speaker series, and we are the distributors for two award-winning documentary films on toxic exposures and health, Toxic Trespass and Exposure.
